Safety Checks You Can Do
• Power down the range by switching off the dedicated circuit breaker for 60 seconds, then switch back on to reset the system
• Verify the circuit breaker for your range (usually 40-50 amp double pole breaker) is fully engaged and not tripped
• Check that the oven door is fully closed and latches completely
• Ensure the oven interior is clean and free of food debris, grease buildup, or obstructions that could affect sensor operation
• Verify cooktop surface is clean and unobstructed to rule out broader electrical issues
• Review your range's control panel settings and ensure no child lock or demo mode is activated
• Allow the range to cool completely for 30 minutes before attempting to reset
• Confirm no other appliances on the same circuit are overloading the breaker
• Do not attempt to access, clean, or replace the temperature sensor yourself as this requires disassembly and may involve live electrical components
