• Power supply voltage fluctuations affecting sensor calibration (common with 240V circuits in older homes)
• Manufacturing defect in the sensor unit itself
• Accumulated food debris or grease causing sensor malfunction

Safety Checks You Can Do
• Verify the circuit breaker supplying power to your range (typically a 40-50 amp double-pole breaker) is in the ON position
• Ensure the oven door is completely closed and latches properly
• Remove any visible food debris, grease, or obstructions from the oven interior
• Check that the stovetop surface is clean and nothing is blocking vents
• Review your oven temperature settings and confirm you are using the correct cooking mode (bake vs. broil)
• Allow the range to cool completely for at least 30 minutes before attempting to use it again
• Perform a hard reset by turning off the circuit breaker to your range for 60 seconds, then turning it back on
• Test the oven after reset to see if the error clears
• If the error persists after these steps, the temperature sensor likely requires professional replacement and the range should not be used for cooking
