Possible Causes

• Control board failure preventing proper sensor signal reception
• Moisture or food debris has corroded the sensor connections
• Electrical short in the sensor circuit due to 240V/120V supply irregularities

Safety Checks You Can Do
• Turn off the circuit breaker supplying power to the oven for 60 seconds, then switch it back on to attempt a complete system reset
• Check that your home's circuit breaker for the oven is in the ON position and has not tripped
• Ensure the oven door is fully closed and latched properly
• Allow the oven to cool completely before attempting any troubleshooting
• Open the oven door and visually inspect the interior for any food debris, spills, or obstructions near the back wall where the temperature sensor is typically located
• Gently clean any visible debris or buildup from the oven interior using a soft cloth
• Verify that all control panel buttons are responding normally and no buttons are stuck
• Check that the oven settings have not been accidentally changed or locked
• Attempt to start a new cooking cycle to see if the error clears after the reset
• If the error persists after these steps, contact a qualified GE service technician as the temperature sensor or control board will likely need professional replacement
