Safety Checks You Can Do
• Check your home circuit breaker panel to ensure the dishwasher breaker has not tripped; flip the breaker off and back on if it appears tripped
• Verify the dishwasher is properly plugged in or check the dedicated outlet for power
• Inspect the dishwasher door to ensure it closes completely and latches firmly with an audible click
• Open the dishwasher and verify the spray arms rotate freely without obstruction or food debris
• Clean around the door seals and interior tub to remove any debris that could affect the door latch
• Check that the control panel buttons are not stuck or pressed in; gently press each button to ensure normal operation
• Reset the dishwasher by turning off the circuit breaker for 60 seconds, then turning it back on to allow the control board to reinitialize
• Allow the dishwasher to sit unpowered for at least 2-3 minutes after a power outage or surge to reset internal components
• Verify you are selecting the correct wash cycle and settings before starting
• Inspect the power cord for any visible damage, fraying, or cuts
• If error persists after these checks, contact a certified GE service technician as internal board replacement may be required
