Safety Checks You Can Do
• Turn off the circuit breaker controlling the dishwasher for 60 seconds, then switch it back on to allow the appliance to reset
• Check your home's circuit breaker panel to ensure the dishwasher's breaker is in the ON position and has not tripped
• Open the dishwasher door by pressing the manual release inside the door cavity if it remains locked
• Verify the dishwasher door closes completely and latches firmly with an audible click
• Inspect the door frame and latch mechanism for food debris, mineral deposits, or visible damage
• Remove and clean the upper and lower spray arms by twisting counterclockwise and checking spray holes for blockages
• Clean the dishwasher filter basket and drain area of any accumulated food particles or debris
• Check that no utensils, dishes, or foreign objects are obstructing the spray arms or interior walls
• Review the control panel display settings and ensure a proper cycle was selected before starting
• Wait 24 hours and attempt to run a new wash cycle to see if the error was temporary
