Safety Checks You Can Do
• Check your home's circuit breaker panel to confirm the breaker for the dishwasher has not tripped; reset it if necessary by switching it fully off then back on
• Verify the dishwasher's outlet is functioning by plugging in another appliance (like a lamp) to test for power
• Inspect the power cord behind the dishwasher for visible damage, fraying, or loose connections
• Ensure the dishwasher door is fully closed and the door latch clicks into place properly
• Clear any debris or food particles from the spray arms and dishwasher interior that could interfere with operation
• Review the control panel settings to ensure the cycle settings are properly selected
• Perform a hard reset by turning off the circuit breaker serving the dishwasher for 60 seconds, then turn it back on to allow the appliance to reinitialize
• Wait 5-10 minutes after power is restored to allow the control board to stabilize before attempting to restart a cycle
• If the error persists after these steps, contact a GE-authorized service technician to inspect the power cord, electrical connections, and control board
