Safety Checks You Can Do
• Check your home's circuit breaker panel to ensure the dishwasher's dedicated breaker is in the ON position; reset it if tripped by switching OFF then back ON
• Verify the dishwasher door is fully closed and properly latched with an audible click
• Open the dishwasher and inspect the spray arms for clogs, food debris, or mineral deposits; clean spray arm holes with a small wire or pipe cleaner
• Remove and rinse the strainer basket located at the bottom of the tub to ensure it is not clogged
• Check that no dishes or utensils are blocking the spray arms from rotating freely
• Confirm you have selected an appropriate wash cycle on the control panel
• Allow any power fluctuations to stabilize by waiting 30 minutes before restarting the dishwasher
• Perform a complete reset by turning OFF the circuit breaker for 60 seconds, then turning it back ON to allow the control board to reinitialize
• Ensure the water inlet valve behind the dishwasher is fully open (turn counterclockwise if available)
• Run a cleaning cycle with dishwasher cleaner to remove mineral deposits from internal components
