Signs
• Dryer runs but does not heat up or produces only warm air
• Clothes remain wet or damp after a complete drying cycle
• Error code E4 displays on the control panel
• Dryer may stop mid-cycle or refuse to start
• No audible humming or heating sounds during operation
• Extended drying times with minimal heat output

Possible Causes
• Failed heating element that cannot generate sufficient heat on 240V circuit
• Malfunctioning thermal fuse that has blown due to overheating or airflow restriction
• Defective thermistor or temperature sensor not reading correctly
• Broken or disconnected thermal cut-off switch
• Faulty heating relay or control board component
• Clogged lint filter or exhaust vent restricting airflow and causing thermal shutdown
• Poor electrical connection or loose wiring at the heating element terminals
• High-limit thermostat stuck in open position

Safety Checks You Can Do
• Verify the dryer is properly plugged into a 240V outlet and check that the dedicated circuit breaker has not tripped; reset if necessary
• Remove and clean the lint filter thoroughly, then check the filter housing for lint buildup
• Inspect the exterior dryer vent opening and ensure it is not blocked by lint, leaves, or other debris
• Open the dryer door and verify it closes completely and triggers the door latch switch without gaps
• Review the control panel settings to ensure you are using appropriate heat and dry cycle settings for your load
• Allow the dryer to cool for at least 30 minutes, then attempt to restart with a new cycle
• Perform a hard reset by switching off the circuit breaker to the dryer for 60 seconds, then turn it back on and test the unit
• Check that the exhaust duct is not kinked, crushed, or excessively long (should not exceed 25 feet)
• Run a short test cycle without clothes to rule out load-related issues
