Safety Checks You Can Do
• Check your home's circuit breaker panel and reset any tripped breakers serving the freezer outlet
• Unplug the freezer from the wall outlet and inspect the power cord for visible damage, fraying, or bent prongs
• Verify the electrical outlet is functioning by plugging in another appliance (such as a lamp) to test for power
• Ensure the freezer is plugged directly into a wall outlet and not through an extension cord or power strip
• Clean the freezer's interior vents and coils of any frost, ice buildup, or debris that may obstruct airflow
• Confirm the freezer door closes completely and the door seal is not cracked or damaged
• Review control panel settings to ensure temperature controls are set to proper cooling levels
• Perform a hard reset by turning off the circuit breaker for 60 seconds, then restore power to clear the error code
• Allow the freezer 30 minutes to stabilize and resume normal cooling cycles after power restoration
• Monitor the freezer for 2-3 hours to confirm the PF error does not reappear
