Step 01
Signs
• Oven will not heat or maintain temperature
• Error code F11 displays on the control panel
• Cooktop may work normally while oven is disabled
• Range beeps continuously or intermittently
• Unable to select oven cooking modes or preheat function
• Control panel becomes unresponsive to oven-related inputs
• Temperature display shows incorrect readings or dashes
Step 02
Possible Causes
• Faulty oven temperature sensor (RTD sensor) that has failed or disconnected
• Damaged or loose wiring harness between control board and temperature sensor
• Defective electronic control board (ERC) unable to read sensor signals
• Internal short circuit in the oven sensor circuit
• Power supply voltage fluctuation affecting 240V control circuits (USA standard)
• Water or moisture damage to control board components
• Failed relay or capacitor on the main control board
• Poor electrical connection at terminal block or plug connections
Step 03
Safety Checks You Can Do
• Turn off the range's dedicated circuit breaker for 60 seconds, then turn it back on to perform a complete reset
• Check that the range is properly connected to a 240V outlet (standard USA installation) and verify the outlet has power
• Inspect the oven interior for any visible obstructions, spills, or debris blocking the temperature sensor area
• Ensure the oven door closes completely and latches properly
• Wipe down the stovetop surface and around control panel areas to remove any spills or moisture
• Review the control panel display to confirm F11 code is still showing after reset
• Allow the range to cool completely for 30 minutes before attempting to reset
• Verify no other circuit breakers in the home have tripped
• Check that no buttons or controls on the panel appear stuck or damaged
• If error persists after reset, discontinue use and contact a qualified GE service technician, as internal component replacement will be needed
