• Surge or electrical spike damaging control board components
• Malfunctioning ice maker control module
• Environmental sensor failure preventing proper board communication
Step 03
Safety Checks You Can Do
• Verify your home circuit breaker for the freezer is in the ON position; if tripped, reset it and monitor for the error to reappear
• Unplug the freezer from the wall outlet, wait 60 seconds, then plug it back in to reset the control board
• Check that freezer vents inside the unit are not blocked by food items or frost buildup
• Ensure the freezer door closes completely and the door seal is not cracked or damaged
• Review the control panel settings to confirm the temperature is set to an appropriate freezing level
• Allow 4-6 hours after power restoration for the freezer to stabilize to proper operating temperature
• Look for any visible water pooling or excessive frost that might indicate sensor issues
• Check that the freezer is on a dedicated circuit and not sharing power with high-draw appliances that could cause voltage fluctuations
