• Defective thermal cutoff fuse that has blown

• Blown thermal fuse due to restricted airflow
• Failed moisture sensor preventing heat regulation
• Electrical connection issues at the heating circuit
• Control board malfunction preventing heat activation
Step 03
Safety Checks You Can Do
• Check that your dryer is plugged into a functioning 240V outlet (GE electric dryers require 240V in the USA)
• Verify your home's circuit breaker for the dryer is switched ON and has not tripped
• Reset the dryer by turning OFF the circuit breaker for 60 seconds, then turn it back ON
• Remove and inspect the lint filter for excessive lint buildup and clean thoroughly
• Check the dryer vent duct for blockages or lint accumulation from outside your home
• Ensure the dryer door closes completely with an audible click
• Verify you have selected the correct temperature setting and cycle type on the control panel
• Allow the dryer to cool for 30 minutes, then attempt to run another drying cycle
• Ensure nothing is blocking the exhaust vent opening outside your home
• Check that all dryer settings are appropriate and the cycle has not been interrupted
