• Frost buildup appearing unusually heavy or sparse
• Alarm or beeping sounds accompanying the error code
• Unable to adjust temperature settings or settings not responding properly

Possible Causes
• Defective freezer temperature sensor (thermistor) unable to read temperature accurately
• Loose or corroded electrical connections between sensor and control board
• Faulty control board failing to receive or process sensor signals
• Wiring harness damage between freezer compartment and main control assembly
• Failed thermal fuse or temperature control relay on main board
• Ice accumulation blocking sensor probe in freezer cavity
• Power supply issues causing inadequate voltage to sensor circuits (120V standard outlet problems)
• Control panel display malfunction misreporting sensor data
Step 03
Safety Checks You Can Do
• Check your home's circuit breaker panel to ensure the freezer circuit breaker is in the ON position; if tripped, turn OFF and back ON
• Unplug the freezer from the wall outlet or turn OFF the circuit breaker for 60 seconds, then restore power to reset the control board
• Inspect the freezer's air vents and interior shelves to ensure nothing is blocking cold air circulation; remove any obstructions
• Verify the freezer door closes completely and the door seal is not cracked or damaged; clean door gasket if dirty
• Check that the control panel temperature setting is not set to an extreme setting; adjust to recommended settings (typically 0°F)
• Wait 4-6 hours after power restoration for the freezer to stabilize and sensor readings to normalize
• Ensure the freezer is not in a location with extreme ambient temperatures (below 50°F or above 110°F)
• Look for visible ice buildup around the sensor area inside the freezer and remove excess frost if accessible without disassembly
