Step 01
Signs
• Oven fails to heat or heats inconsistently
• Error code F5 displays on the control panel
• Oven beeps repeatedly and locks out cooking functions
• Temperature display shows incorrect or erratic readings
• Stovetop may function normally while oven is disabled
• Unable to preheat oven or complete cooking cycles
Step 02
Possible Causes
• Faulty oven temperature sensor (RTD probe) inside the oven cavity
• Loose or corroded wire connections to the sensor
• Damaged sensor wiring harness
• Failed oven control board unable to read sensor input
• Excessive food debris or grease buildup around sensor
• Sensor short circuit or resistance failure
• Power supply issues specific to 240V oven circuit in USA homes
Step 03
Safety Checks You Can Do
• Verify your home's circuit breaker for the range is in the ON position and hasn't tripped; reset if necessary
• Allow the range to cool completely for at least 30 minutes before attempting further troubleshooting
• Open the oven door and inspect the interior for visible food debris, grease, or obstructions around the oven walls and floor
• Check that the oven door closes fully and latches properly with no gaps
• Review your range's control panel settings to ensure you haven't accidentally activated a special mode or child lock
• Power reset the appliance by switching OFF the dedicated circuit breaker for 60 seconds, then switch it back ON
• Attempt a test bake at 350°F to see if the error clears after the reset
• Do NOT attempt to access, clean, or replace the temperature sensor yourself as this requires professional service and may void your warranty
