Step 01
Signs
• Oven will not heat or maintain temperature
• Error code F8 appears on the digital display
• Oven beeps repeatedly or continuously
• Unable to start baking or self-cleaning cycles
• Cooktop may function normally while oven is disabled
• Display may flash or show intermittent error messages
Step 02
Possible Causes
• Faulty oven temperature sensor (RTD or thermistor)
• Loose or disconnected temperature sensor wiring
• Control board communication failure
• Damaged sensor connector or corroded contacts
• Oven cavity debris interfering with sensor function
• Power supply irregularities due to 240V line issues
• Failed electronic control board unable to read sensor signals
• Manufacturing defect in sensor assembly specific to USA models
Step 03
Safety Checks You Can Do
• Check that your range is receiving proper 240V power and the dedicated circuit breaker is in the ON position
• Turn off the circuit breaker to your range for 60 seconds, then turn it back on to reset the appliance
• Allow the range to cool completely for at least 30 minutes before attempting to use it again
• Inspect the oven interior for any obstructions, food debris, or items blocking the sensor location
• Verify the oven door closes completely and latches properly
• Check that no pots, pans, or racks are touching the oven walls or sensor area
• Review your control panel settings to ensure the oven mode and temperature are correctly selected
• Inspect the cooktop surface for spills or debris that may have entered vent areas
• Attempt to run the oven on a different temperature setting to isolate the issue
• If error persists after these checks, the range requires professional service for sensor replacement or control board repair
