Safety Checks You Can Do
• Turn off the circuit breaker supplying power to your range for 60 seconds, then turn it back on to reset the appliance
• Inspect the oven door frame and latch area for any visible obstructions, food debris, or damage
• Open and close the oven door slowly several times, ensuring it closes completely with an audible click
• Check that nothing is preventing the door from sealing properly, such as food spills on the door seals or hinges
• Wipe the door latch striker plate and surrounding area with a clean, damp cloth to remove any residue
• Verify your home's 240V circuit breaker is in the ON position and has not tripped
• Allow the range to cool completely for 30 minutes before attempting to use it again
• Check the control panel settings and ensure the oven mode is properly selected before starting a cycle
