Safety Checks You Can Do
• Turn off power: Switch off the circuit breaker dedicated to your oven for 60 seconds, then turn it back on to reset the appliance
• Check the circuit breaker: Verify that the oven's circuit breaker in your electrical panel has not tripped; reset if necessary
• Inspect the oven interior: Allow the oven to cool completely, then open the door and look for any visible food debris, grease, or obstructions around the temperature sensor probe (typically a metal rod inside the oven wall)
• Clean around the sensor: If debris is present, gently wipe the area with a damp cloth, being careful not to touch the sensor directly
• Verify door closure: Ensure the oven door closes completely and latches properly, as a loose door can trigger sensor errors
• Review control panel settings: Check that no special modes or delays are accidentally activated that might be preventing normal operation
• Allow cooling time: Wait at least 30 minutes for the oven to cool completely before attempting to use it again
• Test after reset: Attempt to preheat the oven to a moderate temperature (350°F) and wait 5 minutes to see if the error code reappears
